Terms of Service

Last updated 31 August 2026.

What you are buying

A license to run PokeCoach on one computer for a fixed number of days. Three keys are sold: 1 day for $1, 7 days for $5, and 30 days for $10, and there is a free hour described below. Each is a single payment. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again. Your card is not stored for a future payment. This is a license to use the software, not a transfer of ownership, and it may not be resold, sublicensed or shared.

The countdown begins when the key is first entered on a computer, not when it is bought. A key that is paid for and never used does not lose days.

When the days run out, PokeCoach stops working. Each purchase is a separate key with its own length, its own start and its own computer; buying again does not add days to a key you already have.

The free hour

One hour of PokeCoach, at no cost. Five are released each day, one per person and one per computer. A free key expires one hour after it is first entered, or at the daily reset if that comes sooner, whichever is first, and it cannot be extended.

The free hour is paid for with a message posted from your Pokémon Showdown account. PokeCoach says trypokecoach.pages.dev/ in the battle room's chat at the start and at the end of every battle it advises on. It is sent as you, from the account you are logged in as, exactly as though you had typed it. If the message cannot be sent, the free session stops.

Whether that is welcome on a given ladder, in a given room, or to the people who run them is the same question as below, and the same answer: it is between you and them, and any consequence to your account is yours. Paid keys post nothing.

One computer per key

Your key binds to the first computer it runs on and stays there. If something changes due a new drive, a reinstall, or a replaced PC, open a ticket on Discord. Sharing a key, or distributing it, ends the license without a refund.

Canceling

There is nothing to cancel. A key is a single payment for a fixed number of days, there is no recurring charge, and stopping is simply not buying another one.

Refunds

Payments are not automatically refundable. Open a ticket on Discord, and we will review it. Approved refunds are paid in full, and the key stops working once the refund is processed.

The requirements are Windows, Chrome, and a processor with at least 3 physical cores, and they are listed before purchase. Check the requirements before buying. A machine that does not meet them is not grounds for a refund.

No guarantee of results

PokeCoach ranks the options available to you in a battle. It does not promise that you will win games, reach any rating, or improve. It is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows.

Where you may use it

PokeCoach runs on your own machine and plays through your own browser session, so nothing about it is transmitted to the service you are playing on. Whether software assistance is permitted in a given ladder, tournament or community is a separate question, and one between you and the people who run it: no representation is made that any particular service allows its use, and any consequence of using it there is yours.

Availability

PokeCoach requires a network connection: the program is loaded from the license server at each launch. Reasonable effort is made to keep that server running, but no specific uptime is guaranteed. A failed connection is treated as an outage and not as a refusal. A brief outage does not stop a session already running.

Ending a license

A license may be ended, without refund, for sharing or distributing a key, for reversing a payment while continuing to use the software, or for attempting to circumvent the licensing system. Otherwise, a license ends on the day the key runs out.

Changes

These terms may change. The date above says when they last did. A change never applies retroactively to days you have already paid for, and a price change never affects a key already bought.

Contact

Everything, including license moves, refunds, deletion requests, or anything broken goes through Discord.
